Bonanza time for the Revenue!

HM Revenue & Customs have got their teeth into potential tax avoidance schemes.

They are now reporting that they expect to raise £7bn in the next two years, by issuing accelerated payment notices to some 43,000 individuals and businesses where the tax due is in dispute.  These individuals and businesses will be required to pay what HM Revenue and Customs decide is due in advance of the  outcome of any tax tribunal.  If the tax payer wins the case then HM Revenue and Customs will repay the money with interest.

The accelerated payment notices may cause very significant cash flow problems for you and your business. It is imperative that you take professional advice immediately.

It is important for anybody facing financial difficulties, whether personally, directors of limited companies or partnerships, to seek advice from a licensed insolvency practitioner as soon as possible.
