Are we saying goodbye to the high street?

Footfall on the high street is rapidly declining as we are more and more turning to retail parks with facilities all under one roof.
A survey showed that in July shopping center footfall fell by 3.1% and high street footfall fell by 2.7%. On the other hand, footfall in retail parks increased by 1.2%.
Ms. Wehrle, Springboard insights director said ‘They not only offer consumers accessible shopping environments with free parking and easy click and collect for online purchases. But many also combine this with an enhanced experience that includes coffee shops and casual dining restaurants, and some have leisure facilities’
