Prison for director who blamed his accountant!

Bahram Manouriboroujeni, who ran a pizza takeaway in Norris Green, was found to have deliberately failed to disclose the true turnover of the business to conceal the amount of taxes he had to pay.

The discrepancy came to light when invoices from Deliveroo Just Eat and Hungry House were inspected by HMRC and found to add up to more than Bahram had claimed.

Bahram tried to blame his accountant who said that he had explained about all his responsibilities regarding HMRC to him.

The Court would have none of it and sentenced him to two and a half years.
