Redman Nichols Butler (including its directors, partners or employees) does not accept, unless the law provides otherwise, formal service of any documents by email except without our prior express written consent. Formal service of any documents on Redman Nichols Butler (or any of its directors, partners or employees) can be validly effected by post to the registered office of Redman Nichols Butler.
Redman Nichols Butler only accepts emails from trusted sources with whom we have an established business relationship and emails and their attachments need to be in a format which is easily accessible. Redman Nichols Butler classes emails into risk categories. The emails deemed as high risk emails (“High Risk”) include but are not limited to;
- emails sent from unmonitored email addresses or email addresses that do not accept replies or any other emails,
- emails that have no contact telephone number of the sender,
- emails that appear, in our view, to be generated by automated processes and not by specific and at the time of sending instruction by a human
- Password protected emails / Encrypted or secure emails
- Emails which request that Redman Nichols Butler access a third-party platform.
Redman Nichols Butler does not accept High Risk emails. Any emails which we consider to be a High Risk email will be deleted without further reference to the purported sender. This policy is to protect Redman Nichols Butler and its directors, partners or employees and our clients from cyber and related crime and to assist us to be able to carry out direct and targeted verification and validity checks.
