‘Ethical water’ investment scam directors banned for a total of 22 years

Michael Lee Livesey and Ross Perry, directors of Global Water Group Ltd, have been disqualified from acting as a director for 11 years. Their company scammed over £800,000 from investors.

The company promised investors that it was “a high level network of investors in, and advisers on, issues related to water supply whose members include heads of state, leaders in the global water industry, leading universities and academic institutions, wealth management firms, philanthropists, pension funds and high net worth investors”. Yet, when the company was put into liquidation in May 2020, no genuine investments could be traced by the liquidator.

It was determined that over £200,000 had been withdrawn in cash between 2018 and 2020, and a payment of £1000,00 had further been transferred to Perry’s personal bank account.
